Dear God,
I learned something today during chapel that really made me look at you and prayer a lot differently. Mark Noa told us prayer consists of two things, petition & praise. He told us about how we so often turn to facebook, tumblr, and people to listen to our problems when the first thing we should do is turn to you. Prayer is a message that will always go through and if there’s one thing I want to improve this lenten season is my power through prayer. Thank you for waking me up this morning, although late, alive I am. Thank you for keeping us safe during the car ride and protecting us from getting in an accident. It was nice to see a sick friend pull himself out of bed to come to school today. Thank you for free first periods to finish homework. Happy one of the crew girls flew home safely. I am ever thankful to still have such a strong relationship with one of my friends since sophomore year, he’s so funny. I hope you can understand how hard it is to change over night so I apologize for the slip-ups I had when it came to not swearing today. It just goes to show how dirty my mouth really has become. I finished all my banking so I’ll have no homework but to study for friday. Thank you for giving me the focus to absorb enough energy to feel confident on the problems and applications part of the test, although not perfect I’m pretty sure I got close. I felt lucky but guilty when I saw sistah come from the speech rooms and hug her. She doesn’t know what I’m doing and I just pray she doesn’t judge me for it. Help me to see that this is the right decision for me. Protect me from harm and help this to be a very beneficial round 123458493X for me. I’m glad he hasn’t texted me today because that means he understands what friendship really is, I don’t want to make this any harder than it really is. I know not what this friendship holds for me, but I have faith you have a plan. Thank you for speaking through Mark Noa with a life-changing message. Thank you for salad and tuna lunch even though a hot dog would’ve been enjoyable. I am so grateful for my enthusiastic classmates because they will make Friday a very entertaining day. Thanks for bringing my shirt back to me too, yay. Help me to understand math, for calculus is going completely over my head. Thank you for laptops and computers that make class easier. Thank you for teachers like Cup-choy who really respect our culture and are knowledgeable. Thank you for 50% character building. I found the art of Lua so incredibly interesting. Thank you for bringing us home safely and allowing me the time to take a nice nap. Time for mass, Happy Ash Wednesday to you all.
